Newark50 Project on Homelessness needs volunteers!

17 06 2011

If you’re interested in participating next week, please contact Tonya Bryan (info below).  It is through your time, talents and resources that we will be able to achieve our goal of giving housing and hope to 50 of Newark’s most vulnerable homeless individuals.

Here are some important reminders:

WHEN:        Monday, June 20th , Tuesday, June 21st, and Wednesday, June 22nd  from 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

ARRIVE:      3:45 a.m.   (coffee, tea, bagels, donuts will be served before leaving to administer surveys)

WHERE:     Room B-29 at City Hall, 920 Broad Street, Newark  (enter on Green St., Employees Entrance)

TONYA BRYAN:  (201) 407-3631

There should be enough parking on Broad and Green Street, as well as Washington Street if needed.  If anybody feels unsafe walking from their parking spot to City Hall, there will be additional police officers at City Hall that could meet individuals and escort them.  If someone feels unsafe, they can call Mrs. Bryan at (201) 407-3631 to get an escort.  Please let us know at the Training Session.

We look forward to meeting you and working with you on this important project. Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated.
