Film Program Internship

with 92YTribeca


Start date: May 2012


92YTribeca seeks an intern for its film program to provide support to the Film Program Associate by assisting with administrative duties and program planning, as well as coordinating screenings. A minimum time commitment of 20 hours spread over three days per week, including two nights for event coordination.



The internship would include assisting with the following:

         Program planning: researching potential screenings and guests; previewing film submissions; writing program blurbs

         Event coordination: providing support with screening set-up and artist hospitality

         Administrative tasks: processing invoices; creating email blasts; responding to inquiries; maintaining Facebook group



         Interest in arts management with a focus on film presentation

         Knowledge of the film industry

         Outgoing personality

         Ability to work independently

A cultural venue of the 92nd Street Y, 92YTribeca aims to bring exciting programming to New Yorkers in their 20s and 30s. Our programming includes film screenings, comedy, live music, and lectures. The film program screens films four nights per week, with a different screening and guest speaker nearly every night. Tribeca Film Fest next week

I encourage all CMS and NMT students interested in film to check out the Tribeca Film Fest, which includes many free screenings & events.

I will be hitting the Tribeca 92 Y lunch series to soak up some cinematic scintillation!  Let me know if anyone is interested, we can get an ECC crew together.

Six Flags/Great Adventures Student Media Day Tues 4/17

We have 5 slots open for CMS/NMT students to attend the Great Adventures theme park Student Media Day this Tuesday, April 17th.

We meet outside the Dasher center @ 7am and should be back to ECC by 1/1:30pm.

If you have Finals that day, you should NOT attend.


Students must film and/or record the event, conduct interviews, etc.  The day will be a tour of the facilities and a press conference.

Students MUST RSVP with me ASAP!
