Wednesday, October 17th at 7 PM Filmmaking and Crowdsource Fundraising with Filmmaker Deann Borshay Liem Deann Borshay Liem, the celebrated maker of First Person Plural and In the Matter of Cha Jung Hee, is now working on two new docs, Geographies of Kinship: The Korean Adoption Story and Memory of Forgotten War. She will show clips from her latest two films, talk about the making of her films and working with Kickstarter – where she has had enviable success! A lesson in “to-dos” and “not-to-dos” in crowdsource fundraising.
Wednesday October 24th at 6:30 PM – Legal Issues for the Indie Filmmaker with David Morrison Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 PM – A Master Class with Byron Hurt Cosponsored with the Media and Communication Arts Department and the Colin Powell Center for Policy Studies at City College, and the Black Documentary Collective.
