Film Festival at Tribeca Cinemas, Feb 7-9th

16 01 2013

Videoart.net is pleased to announce the third annual Video Art & Experimental Film Festival (VAEFF 2013), which will take place February 7-9, 2013 at the iconic Tribeca Cinemas in New York City.

The three-day festival aims to introduce New York audiences to the most arresting, provocative and conceptually challenging works in time-based media today. Drawing from hundreds of submissions, the festival will feature a diverse array of films by video artists and experimental filmmakers from around the world, including the USA, Sweden, Italy, Colombia, Iran and the UK. For the first time, the festival’s program will include a selection of works by guest artists as well as the New York premiere of a feature length documentary. A panel discussion led by distinguished academics and industry professionals will follow Friday’s screenings, as well as a gala reception with the artists and panelists at the Tribeca Cinemas’ elegant Varick Room bar.

There will be three separate programs of short works, two on Thursday and one on Friday–a more detailed schedule will be coming soon! For more information, including a full list of works and artists, visit festival.videoart.net.
