Internships available for summer 2014!

19 03 2014

TheCelebrityCafe.com is starting the search for summer and fall 2014 interns!

First, I have to tell you, we are having a great spring semester with our interns. We’ve got one of the best groups we’ve had in a while in terms of creativity, communication, strength of skill, willingness to learn and use of what we’ve taught them (so far) with great success. They are setting the bar very high for future interns!

This semester we are also very proud to say we are hosting an intern from each editors’ alma mater, including Arizona State University, Hofstra University, Stony Brook University and West Virginia University. It’s exciting for us to pass on what we’ve learned atTheCelebrityCafe.com and help fellow grads with their futures.

We’ve also had some new schools join us including Penn State University, Elmhurst College and have many returning schools like Ohio State University, Grand Valley State University, Rutgers University and California State University Fullerton and Long Beach campuses. It’s been a pleasure to continue to work with old friends and meet new ones.

We’ve also started a freelance program for our interns to graduate to after they finish the program. We have made offers to over 10 students, and have plans to grow the program. From this program, we hired another full-time editor, Kyle Johnson, our Arizona State alum. If you weren’t aware, all of our full-time editors are former interns.

Now onto business.

For the schools in which we place ads, please know we are starting that process this weekend. There have been some changes to sites used for ads, and as much as I have kept up with the emails I’ve gotten, please let me know if there are new job boards we need to register for.

Any schools who place the ads themselves, send emails or are just looking for more information, the link below is the text for all our ads. Feel free to use, post and share the information in the document. And thank you in advance for the help!

If you would like a flyer to post, please let me know which program and I will send them as soon as we have an updated version available.

And just a quick reminder, we are requiring students to do our program in conjunction with academic credit. This is an unpaid virtual program, with strict guidelines and supervision.

We have the following programs:
Writing Internship – entertainment news, sports news, national and world news
Research Internship
Copy Editing Internship
Social Media Marketing Internship
Graphic Design Internship
Business Management Internship – NEW program

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
